27. Describe the construction and furnishing of the Governor Bellingham's mansion. What does it reveal about Puritan culture?
- Governor Bellingham's mansion is very dull and worn down on the outside with moss and crumbling and decaying but on the inside it was cheerful. It had windows that would make it look like their were diamonds shining in the room when the light would hit them. This shows that how on the outside the culter seems dark but that does not mean the people are. Nothing in this society should be fancy but if you have higher authority you can do whatever you want because you have the money and power it do it.
